GHGe Emissions Reduction
The World faces man-made climate disasters that need solutions today…not tomorrow or next year. Firms offsetting and sequestering CO2 are not stopping the source of Global Warming.
Climate First Petroleum and Remediation’s solutions are different, immediate, and impactful. CFPR’s fuel and power generation from fossil fuels don’t produce CO2e that needs offset or sequestration. Additionally, CFPR’S well-plugging capabilities assist in identifying potentially overlooked assets in its fuel and zero CO2e power generation from fossil fuels.
Introduction
Climate First Petroleum & Remediation’s [CFPR] reduces GHGe emissions in the production of fossil fuels, renewable diesel, and electricity. CFPR’s processes generate real GHGe emissions reduction immediately from the production of fossil fuels and electricity while green technology and energy research and technology are implemented. CFPR utilizes a unique base approach modified for each application, allowing for broad implementation in the oil and gas sector. Scope one, two, and three emissions are achieved.
One of the CFPR processes utilizes intensification technology with micro-crude oil topping plants to produce low-sulfur fuels. CFPR’s micro-crude oil topping plants inject 100% of the produced emissions into stable underground formations as a base approach. This approach achieves zero GHGe-produced fuels. CFPR does not compete with major refiners because they rely on hydrotreating technology to produce low-sulfur fuels. Hydrotreaters’ cost precludes major refiners from entering CFPR’s market of micro-capacity units. Large refineries are not candidates for carbon capture based on their complexity and inherent retrofit cost. A further advantage CFPR has in the marketplace is the Supreme Court ruled the EPA has incorrectly handed out many small refinery exemptions (SRE) decisions taken under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. The result is small refineries will now have to adhere to 15ppm sulfur content, which will cost millions in upgrading that CFPR does not face.
CFPR’s processes also produces electricity in a closed loop, zero CO2e emission process.
The most important difference in CFPR’s model is understanding the difference from creating “offset” GHGe emissions or “sequestration” of airborne GHGe emissions and CFPR’s model that does not produce GHGe to offset or sequester. The world is consumed with offset carbon emissions or sequestration of airborne GHGe emissions at a high cost without addressing the real problem. The real problem is offset and sequestrated GHGe emissions mean the GHGe emissions are produced and sent into the atmosphere, so they are doing damage. Offset, and sequestration of GHGe emissions is a terrible idea where fuels and electricity can be produced without GHGe entering the atmosphere to be sequestered or offset…or after the damage is done. That is CFPR’s model. GHGe never enters the atmosphere to be offset or sequestered.
Another CFPR process converts non-native tree species into renewable fuels. CFPR’s harvesting of the targeted invasive tree species has the added benefit of partially restoring the water these invasive species rob from native species and the surrounding watershed.
